A bit of a mix of symptoms, but if the noise is there in 4th gear (when the gear train is effectively locked) then it could point to a bearing mainshaft failure, but the screech sounds more clutch related. Either way, the gearbox will have to be removed and you'd normally replace the clutch at that

1) the coolant leak seems to be coincidental. 2) The NOx sensor has been replaced for a new unit and the fault code and check light is now gone and all running well. The NOx sensor was fairly sooty and a bit dirty but not sufficient enough to be the source of the issue they believe.

It does sound similar, and i've read on other forums people who did have similar issues with random occasions of limp mode and gave them EGR fault codes but once they replaced the MAF it resolved the fault. It normally sets off once i rev over 3000rpm, I live in Cornwall so a lot of the major routes are
I'm back on the forum after a long break with another m59, an 07 1.6 hdi this time. It's a wee trooper, but since I've had it, always (almost) lumpy as heck when first started, even in mild weather. I was going to do the glow plugs, but saw a few posts where this did not fix the issue even though first instinct is to blame the plugs.

I recently purchased a 2019 Citroen Berlingo Enterprise Van. its the 1.6 HDI model? Its done 9k miles and overall Im fairly impressed with it. Its well specced and has some very clever ideas such as the collapsible bulkhead, stage solutions etc. However I have a question (well a few actually, but this ones important).

Find the location of the MAF sensor in your Berlingo, unplug the electrical connectors, and remove the sensor from the housing. Spray at least 10 spurts of MAF cleaner onto the sensor and then let it air dry for an hour or until completely dry. Do not use cloth or cotton swabs to clean the sensor, as it can damage it.

To the best of my knowledge, in terms of maintenance and reliability, they are much of a muchness. Reputation: 0. #1. 11-01-2014, 08:49 PM. When the turbo was replaced last month they also replaced the glow plugs. Since I've had the car back the glow plug dash light never comes on at all. Today going out to work it was 2deg C and it still never came on. I'm 99% certain it used to come on for a few seconds at every cold start before. 100,000 is rediculous tbh, and we always advise change with a new water pump at 60 k or about 6 or 7 years. They are not that expensive to replace, so it's a no brainer in my view.
