I very much so remember getting my ass handed to me, and having it being 1-2 shot in act 2 by the bugs. 52 or 53 pages of changes and additions, so there is a lot. Many skills were nerfed and buffed, they have added new encounters and balanced some armor values in tactician. It always affected the incarnate. Our own Editor in Chief gave the non-definitive edition a 95, and I completely agree with his opinion. Essentially, it’s only flaw is that it has so much to it the game can be overwhelming. Said definitive edition added new story elements, dialogue options, characters, and generally improved the overall balancing.
Beast is a fun character, but I think most people find his personal story the least enjoyable. Not that it's awful or anything, just that the others are better. They added some stuff to his story when the definitive edition came out, and it doesn't feel as bad as it used to, but it's still probably the most boring story.

under 'Steam\steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\bin' and launch the Definitive Edition '.exe' file located there. This will bypass the launcher and startup Definitive Edition itself. Answer was kinda simple, but to be honest, I didn't expect a different .exe for both the versions, which to be fair I should have checked for a lot sooner. RLL0.
